These Terms & Conditions govern the provision of plumbing, heating, and gas services by IB Plumbing & Heating. By requesting, booking, or accepting our services, you agree to these terms.
1. About Us
IB Plumbing & Heating is operated as a sole trader by Ilyas Bahaji.
We provide plumbing, heating, boiler, and gas-related services within our service area.
2. Acceptance of Terms
You are deemed to have accepted these Terms & Conditions if you:
Instruct us to commence work;
Accept or approve a quotation (verbally or in writing);
Pay a deposit;
Book an appointment;
Request emergency attendance;
Submit an enquiry via our website;
Tick any box confirming agreement to our terms;
Allow work to proceed at your property.
These Terms apply to all services provided unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Quotations & Estimates
All quotations are based on the information available at the time and information provided by the customer.
If information provided is inaccurate or incomplete, additional charges may apply.
Verbal estimates are indicative only and do not constitute fixed pricing.
Written quotations are valid for a reasonable period unless otherwise stated.
If unforeseen defects, hidden damage, or additional issues are discovered during the course of work, we reserve the right to revise the quotation accordingly.
No additional work will be carried out without informing the customer.
4. Deposits & Materials
A deposit may be required before work commences, particularly where materials or appliances must be ordered.
Deposits may cover the cost of materials and, where applicable, an agreed portion of labour.
Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or allocated to the job, except where required by law.
Failure to pay a required deposit may result in delay or cancellation of works.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For staged works, interim payments may be required.
We reserve the right to withhold documentation, certification, or commissioning paperwork until payment has been received in full.
We accept payment via bank transfer, debit/credit card, and approved payment processors.
Any finance or instalment options (including third-party providers) are offered at our discretion and are subject to eligibility and approval.
6. Emergency Call-Outs
Emergency attendance is charged at our standard rates.
Time spent diagnosing faults is chargeable.
Where parts or additional work are required, further charges will apply.
Attendance does not guarantee immediate repair if parts are unavailable or additional faults are discovered.
7. Scope of Work
Work is limited strictly to the agreed scope.
Any additional work required will be quoted separately.
We are not responsible for unrelated faults or defects.
8. Completion & Post-Work Issues
Work is deemed complete once the agreed service has been carried out and demonstrated where appropriate.
Any concerns must be raised at the time of completion.
We are not responsible for faults arising after completion that are unrelated to the work carried out.
Normal wear and tear, pre-existing issues, or component failure after servicing are not the responsibility of IB Plumbing & Heating unless caused by proven negligence.
9. Boiler Servicing Disclaimer
A boiler service is a maintenance inspection and safety check conducted in line with industry standards.
A service does not guarantee future performance or prevent future breakdown.
We are not liable for pre-existing faults, ageing components, or subsequent failures not directly caused by negligent workmanship.
10. Warranty & Manufacturer Guarantees
Manufacturer warranties apply to parts and appliances supplied.
We do not provide separate labour warranties unless explicitly agreed in writing.
Warranty claims do not cover misuse, lack of maintenance, unauthorised alterations, or third-party interference.
11. Photographic Records
We may take photographs before, during, and after work for documentation and record-keeping purposes.
These photographs may be used for dispute resolution and quality assurance.
Photographs will not be used for marketing without separate consent.
12. Liability
We maintain appropriate public liability insurance.
Our liability for any claim arising from services provided is limited to the value of the work carried out.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
13. Access & Safety
Customers must provide safe and reasonable access.
Unsafe conditions may result in suspension of work.
Pets and vulnerable individuals must be kept clear of the work area.
14. Gas Safety Compliance
All gas-related work is undertaken by a Gas Safe registered engineer in accordance with current UK regulations.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales
